... which made me think of Mike's poor cattle out there in the snow...
... and Mike working on christmas breaking up 3 inch ice build up on watering feeders in a 2 degree snow storm...
... aint retirement great...
... when we worked we got the day off typically with pay, now we work it for free...
... seems a bit backward...
... but...
... everything is going well... never a day off, but loving every minute...

... the Scottish Highland Cattle are raised for their meat...
... and look well suited for cooooold weather, maybe even happy in the cold...
... they have long fur which perhaps could be cut in the summer for its "wool" value...
... and grown back by winter for its warmth...
... some better photos from the internet:

... WHOOOOOA! HOLD THE HORSES!...
... there's a garage sale here at a neighborhood just off of the highway...
... so many in the neighborhood in fact that we sometimes just parked the car and walked house to house...
... bought 40 lp records, a box of green utility pole electrical insulators, a large box of dishes etc,
... a 50 pound pelican, a micro-wave oven for $3 (Moe's died), etc., etc., etc....
... keep in mind there were 3 of us in Moe's Clubman...
... there wasn't room to put a postage stamp in the back and we weren't even to central point yet!
