Gary: "Just think... once upon a time this bike was someone's pride and joy..." Rusl: "It could be again..."
This year's featured model was the FLATHEAD I'm not a big FLATHEAD fan, never liked the design, and, with the advent of OHV engines before I was born, I never had much use for them... my personal favorite model, above all others made in the past, present and future is... the KNUCKLEHEAD!!!
but, I do like the guirder front end that came on some VL's and UL's... check these two out... more later (below)...
ummmmm... old air cleaners... sthmorthner tanks...
Kiwi is remanufacturing an Indian...
"eyyy Raz... look familiar???" (my knuck ended up brown after several frustrating attempts to re-create candy apple burgundy)
I'm amazed at the number of choppers here...
I hate to think what the price on these VL/UL front ends must be... see the ones below with price tags...
a LOT of these old bikes are "runners"
did I mention that I like trumpets???
a LOT of these old K-models here... these were great race bikes!
Nice...
another "runner"
now that's a BACK PORCH!!! I thought I had a decent back porch on my '80 Tour-Glide, but this one has room for a devan!!!
you reckon he's got a really small engine sproket, like 19 teeth?
and some "runners" are not all that cooperative...
WOW!!! A covey of rigid frames!!!
here you go... check out the price on these VL/UL front ends... (well krap, sun light warshed out the tag... anyway it's $2.8K for the one on the left and $3K for the one on the right)
nice vented brake drum... trumpet maybe???
nice springer, and dog bone risers in abundance...
I'm amazed at the number of choppers here...
cam covers, mouse traps, lots of good old stuff still around if you need it...
Lots of nice bikes...
... and VARIETY...
check out this clean square 4... I've heard that if you ride one of these to a social event that you will have good reception...
$40 gets you a spare tire mount for your side hack... see a lot of side hacks with out a spare tire mount...
here's some lil' stuff...
here's a big hand full in a lil' package... check out that rear sprocket... this ought'a be able to climb a telephone pole!
a LOT of these old K-models here... these were great race bikes!
No, it's not for sale... [sigh]... only one of the coolest pickups around!!!
I'm amazed at the number of choppers here... WAIT!!! WHAT??? These dudes look waaaay too young to be with these bikes... or... did I just step into a time warp??? shades of The Twilight Zone DO DO DO DO DO DO DO DO
I'm amazed at the number of choppers here...
I'm amazed at the number of choppers here...
That's different... a tent/cot up off the ground...
Reckon there's a farmer's tractor missing a seat somewhere???
Never seen a contraption like that on a front end before... wonder what it does... (answer at end of show pictures)
