10SEP14: weight bearing Xray of knees, notice there is no gap between femur and tibia on left knee (there s/b a gajp), also notice whitening of bones where they are touching - that's because they have been beating on each other... for a while...

Total knee joint replacement is a major elective surgery and therefore the surgeon requires primary care physician's clearance which includes lab work, chest Xray (normal on 11FEB15), an EKG (normal on 09FEB15), and clearance from dentist.

March 18 at 7:02am - Sunrise over the "rock" garden outside Rusl's room. Nurses were very kind and brought me coffee after I explained that Rusl always brings me coffee in bed every morning. They told me they were sorry I should have had that put in his chart so I wouldn't have had to ask. Lol

March 18 at 6:22am - Went with recommended method... not knowing and not having MD after our name lol but Rusl was worrying about pain and they thought this would be the best. I think he has a rude awakening when they actually do start therapy today. His pain has been 3 maybe 4 so far

March 18 at 10:39am - He is in Sutter Davis and I had a bed next to his and once I am asleep the only thing that wakes me is my bladder. I actually slept pretty good considering the circumstances. In fact I wasn't aware of nurses until 6 and my bladder had me already starting to wake up.

March 18 at 10:39am - All the rooms are private

March 18 at 7:39pm - ... Princess!... Yeah kinda huh I am very spoiled but I think Rusl is going to turn into a prince for awhile and I really will be Cinderella before Prince Charming

March 19 at noonish - physical terrorist says good to go... get your butt out of the bed and into a chair... IV out... oops... sprung a leak... waiting for PT to come do the wound dressing...
